Global Labour Leaders Seal 31 Agreements To Boost Jobs, Training Opportunities
The Global Labor Market Conference (GLMC), has experienced the finalizing of 31 agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) between various entities, intending to provide thousands of training opportunities and jobs for the international labor force. This agreement was signed at the second edition of the GLMC 2025, introduced in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, by His Excellency Engineer Ahmad Bin Salman Alrajhi, the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, in addition to 40 labour ministers. According to the ministers, these initiatives will focus on qualifying diverse groups, such as new graduates, ladies, and individuals with disabilities, for suitable employment through specialised training programs, consisting of development, instructional initiatives, leadership preparation, and knowledge-sharing partnerships
Data from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), approximately 67 million young people are presently unemployed, and nearly 20 percent of people aged 15 to 54 are either used or participated in education, organizations, or training programs. Highlighting the significance of these contracts, Alrajhi said “These figures highlight the urgent requirement to develop detailed strategies to attend to these typical challenges effectively.” “Transforming them into opportunities, ultimately we can all collaborate to ensure the prosperity of our economies, neighborhoods, and workforces.” The minister also noted that the agreements concentrate on improving operational efficiency, cultivating development, and driving worth creation in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030. Key entities associated with these agreements consist of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD), the International Labour Organization (ILO), Takamol Holding, INSEAD, UiPath, Bella Vista Institute of Higher Education, the Saudi Logistics Academy, the Ministry of Tourism, and Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.
The GLMC’s MOU will see a number of notable cooperations emerged. INSEAD will supply scholastic services, while partnerships with Space Faculty and ProFun will check out development and understanding sharing. Bella Vista Institute and the Saudi Logistics Academy will deliver tailored training programmes concentrated on management development and capacity building. The Ministry of Tourism inked MoUs with Marriott Hotels and Arabian Airports to develop labor force certifications and training initiatives.
